I wanted to be able to experiment with different methods and skills for my costume, so came up with 3 different techniques for the solid head structure and three different types of body. This way I can see what my strengths are and combine the two ideas that work out best and I feel confident in.
For one head I want to create a wicker/ woven willow type structure, another to be cardboard?modrock and handprinted, and another to be made with different textiles/embroidery.
For the long, cloak like body one will again be woven, one be made with embroidered textiles and another I want to print my designs onto fabric digitally.
